About our carpet cleaning service

Carpet holds far more than it shows. Fine grit walked in from the footpath works its way into the pile and grinds against the fibres, while spills, pet accidents and everyday body oils leave a residue that a domestic vacuum simply cannot reach. The result is the dull grey pathway you see down a hallway, on the stairs and in front of the sofa — not worn carpet, but soil sitting in the base of the pile. Our carpet cleaning service removes that build-up and brings the colour and texture back.

Every job starts with an inspection. We check the fibre type, the backing and the level of soiling, and we point out anything permanent — bleach marks, dye damage, sun fading — before we begin, so you know what to expect rather than being disappointed afterwards. We then dry-vacuum thoroughly, because most of the dry soil has to come out before any moisture goes in.

Next we pre-spray and agitate the traffic lanes and heavier areas, giving the solution time to break down grease and bind the soil, and we spot-treat individual marks with the appropriate product for the stain — tea and coffee, red wine, food, ink, mud and pet accidents all need different handling. Hot water extraction then flushes the pile and pulls the loosened soil straight out of the carpet along with the solution. Where a carpet cannot take a wet clean, we use a low-moisture method instead.

Stairs and landings get particular attention because they take the heaviest wear in the house: we work each tread, riser and nosing individually rather than running over the flight in one pass. Rugs are cleaned in place, and we can move light furniture, groom the pile afterwards and set airflow so drying is as quick as possible — usually three to six hours, longer in cold damp weather.

Carpet cleaning is booked on its own, alongside an end of tenancy clean to protect a deposit, or as part of a deep clean of the whole house. Tell us the rooms and roughly the sizes when you call and we will quote over the phone.

What clients say about our carpet cleaning

Feedback from homeowners, tenants and landlords across Cork city and county.

The stairs carpet was black down the middle from the kids and the dog. I honestly thought it was ruined. It came up nearly like new and dried by the evening.
Kevin R.Glasheen
Living room carpet had years of traffic marks in front of the sofa. They explained what would and would not come out before starting, which I appreciated. The difference is huge.
Sarah L.Passage West
Had the carpets done in two bedrooms and the landing before we put the house up for sale. No smell, no soaking wet floors, and the rooms feel fresher.

Carpet Cleaning — frequently asked questions

How long will the carpet take to dry?
Usually three to six hours with good airflow. In cold or damp weather it can take longer, so we extract as much moisture as possible and set up airflow before we leave.
Will every stain come out?
Most do. Some marks — bleach, strong dyes, or old stains that have been scrubbed into the backing — are permanent, and we will tell you that at the inspection rather than after the clean.
Do you clean stairs and rugs as well as rooms?
Yes. Stairs are cleaned tread by tread including the risers, and rugs are cleaned in place in the room.
Can you treat pet odours?
Yes. Pet accidents are treated with a dedicated product that targets the source rather than masking it with fragrance. Heavily saturated areas may need a repeat treatment.
