About our general house cleaning service
General house cleaning is the service most Cork families ask us for, and it is the one we have refined over the last twenty years. It covers the whole home from the front door to the back bedroom: dusting, surfaces, floors, kitchen, bathrooms and bins, carried out in a set order so nothing is skipped and nothing is rushed. Whether you live in a two-bed terrace on the northside, a semi-detached house in Ballincollig or an apartment in the city centre, the same structured routine applies — only the time we allocate changes with the size and condition of the property.
We work to a written checklist rather than from memory. That means you know in advance exactly what will be done, and our cleaners know exactly what standard they are being held to. Every visit starts with a quick walk-through so you can point out anything that matters most to you that day — a room being used by a visitor, a spill on a rug, a bathroom that needs extra attention — and we prioritise accordingly before beginning the standard routine.
Our team is trained in-house and works to the same standards on every visit. We bring our own professional products and equipment, and we are happy to use fragrance-free or pet-safe products where a household needs them; just tell us when you book. If you would prefer we use your own products, that is no problem either.
Most clients book general cleaning either as a one-off refresh before or after guests, or as a repeating weekly, fortnightly or monthly visit. Because we are available around the clock, we can also work evenings, early mornings and weekends, which suits shift workers, landlords and families who would rather not be at home while cleaning is under way. Keys or key-safe access can be arranged with a signed handover.

Where particular areas are requested to be prioritised, our team will focus accordingly, and certain tasks within this checklist may be deferred to a future visit.

- How long does a general house clean take?
- A typical three-bedroom house takes around three hours for a single cleaner. Larger homes, or homes that have not been cleaned professionally before, may need longer or a second cleaner. We confirm the estimate before the visit.
- Do I need to be at home?
- No. Many clients give us key or key-safe access. If you prefer to be present for the first visit so you can walk us through the house, that works well too.
- Do you bring cleaning products?
- Yes, all products and equipment are included in the price. We can switch to fragrance-free or pet-safe products, or use your own, on request.
