About our oven & fridge cleaning service
Oven cleaning is the job almost everyone puts off, and for good reason: carbonised grease does not respond to ordinary kitchen sprays, and getting into the door glass, the roof of the cavity and the fan housing takes both patience and the right equipment. We strip the oven down as far as it safely comes apart, treat every removable component, and clean the cavity, seals and interior glass so the appliance looks and smells new again.
Racks, shelves, side runners and trays are removed and soaked in a heated treatment tank or in a dedicated soaking solution, then scrubbed and rinsed. The cavity is treated with a caustic-free, food-safe degreaser that is left to dwell, then worked off with scrapers and pads suited to enamel. Where the door glass can be separated we clean between the panes, which is where most of the visible browning sits. Hobs, gas burners, grills, extractor filters and the exterior are cleaned as part of the same visit.
Fridge and freezer cleaning follows the same logic. Shelves, drawers and door bins are removed and washed, the interior is cleaned and sanitised with food-safe products, seals and gaskets are cleaned out where mould and crumbs collect, and the exterior, top and sides are degreased. Freezers should be defrosted before we arrive; if that is not possible, tell us and we will plan the visit around it.
This service is popular as an add-on to a general or regular clean, as a standalone booking before a family gathering, and as an essential part of end of tenancy cleaning where inspecting agents almost always open the oven door first. All products we use are food-safe once dry, and appliances are ready to use as soon as we finish.

Where particular areas are requested to be prioritised, our team will focus accordingly, and certain tasks within this checklist may be deferred to a future visit.

Oven & Fridge Cleaning — frequently asked questions
- How long does an oven clean take?
- A single domestic oven usually takes 90 minutes to two and a half hours depending on build-up. A range cooker takes longer.
- Can I use the oven straight after?
- Yes. Our products are food-safe once dry and the appliance is ready to use as soon as we finish.
- Do I need to defrost the freezer first?
- Please do where possible — a defrosted freezer can be cleaned properly in one visit. If it cannot be defrosted in time, let us know when booking.
